Preverting FIFA 22. Welcome, or without PS5 and Xbox Series, the entrance is prohibited

Friends, I was mistaken: last year there were a huge number of changes. But FIFA 22 is 80% of the new graphics (and only for the owners of fresh consoles) and a little generally accessible gameplay chips.

One way or another, in FIFA 22 we are promised a little more naturalistic behavior of goalkeepers – they will be upheld by animations and new movements will be added. In the course of the presentation, they did not say whether this would affect the number of balls reflected or missed, but it seems to me that it is unlikely. Just the movements of the goalkeeper will become a little less ridiculous in controversial situations.

More than me, in fact, worries that EA promises to reconsider the physics of the ball and even called the new system True Ball Physics. What exactly does this mean, it is very difficult to say, because at the presentation this was literally as follows: “We took a real ball, looked at how it behaves in life, compared with behavior in the game and twisted the parameters of twisting, resistance to air and earth. And this is amazing ".

I personally hope that this is a reservation and developers not for the first time in their life decided to look at a real ball. But, judging by the presentation, it is about the fact that the balls will no longer jump in a straight path, like pebbles on water, but will be bounced from the ground, taking into account the twist. That is, the ball sent by the goalkeeper “to the exit” may well slap on the center of the field and change the trajectory of degrees by 90, and then do the same again at the next rebound. In general, the random in FIFA 22 is clearly more.

The next novelty is a slightly converted sprint. If in the current FIFA you press the running button, and the ward is linearly switching from a step to higher speed, now there will be a stage of sharp acceleration and subsequent leveling of the run speed. And, judging by the first frames, this will go to the plus of the attack: the player with the ball will be able to accelerate sharply and leave the defense.

In my opinion, the decision is controversial: the line of protection has been lame for both legs for two years now, and the next advantage for the attacking side looks, to put it mildly, strange. But, alas, there was not a word about the correcting of the defenders at the presentation. So do not hope: a competent position, apparently, with us forever. Well, at least on PC and old consoles.

Also, from gameplay updates promised several new finites, a deeper analytics after the match and slightly processed old modes, which we cannot talk about yet. Actually, the owners of the PC, PS4 and Xbox One can diverge.

Not for everyone

Now information for those who have PS5 or Xbox Series. It was much more fortunate: EA processed graphics, animations and behavior of football players. And for this she invented a whole system called Hypermotion , which was based on machine learning. If earlier EA recorded the movements of the players in the old fashioned way, using Motion Capture, and involved no more than three players for this, now she is walking on a different path, which was named Xsens Motion Capture.

It works like this: all 22 players in special costumes of XSENS come out on the field and just play football. The whole process is recorded on the camera and fed the neural network, which analyzes the actions of the players, their movements and interaction between themselves and not only records possible combinations and reactions, but also reads animations from them.

As a result, more than 4000 new animations will be added to FIFA 22, and the ligaments between them will become much more smooth and more realistic, since the developers no longer need to combine many small movements together. Plus such a system allows you to deploy a player in advance to the right provisions to start a new animation.

The next interesting consequence of the new technology is enhanced artificial intelligence. Since he is now studying in full -fledged matches with all the players on the field, it is easier for him to imitate the real behavior of the team. As EA herself says, computer boobs think six times faster – and this will finally affect the protection line.

On the new generation of consoles, they promise to make her much more smart. At the same time, the developers focus on the fact that the defense will now work as a whole team and, for example, will be able to shift the entire line into the ball control zone. Thanks to this, less free areas should become, and the attackers will have to strain much more often in order to get out of custody.

EA also promises to completely process the interactions of players in the riding struggle. Is this exclusively concerns animations, as with goalkeepers, or the mechanics itself, so far do not understand, but the struggle for the second floor looks really beautiful.

Well, the last moment. EA in the new version of the game will try to slightly humanize players. This again applies to animations: football players will talk on the field, resent the actions of opponents, hug with coaches, etc.D. We will also write down here and a slightly fit facial facial expressions: it has become much more detailed.

That's all. Once again, we recall that the second part of the text associated with new animations, artificial intelligence, protection and movements of players refers only to the new generation of consoles. Officially, EA explains this by the fact that only PS5 and Xbox Series are so powerful that they can pull all the innovations of the series.

Theoretically, we could believe it, but the new version of the game will get not only a truly productive PS5 and Series X, but also very weak in terms of GPU Series S. And at this moment I personally really offend me: at first glance, the graphics did not grow so much as to be afraid to display it to past generations, and there should be no problems with the PC at all. But the fact remains: this year those who do not have new consoles will receive almost last year's game.
